The Lord started The Tack Room in January 2013. It began with the Holy Spirit nudging my heart to help a young single mom and her baby boy at church. Because I have been there myself, I could see the struggle, worry, and weariness present on her face. After obeying the Spirit He began to birth within my heart a greater desire to reach more who were struggling. He also began to give me visions of what The Tack Room would look like and specifically how He wanted things to operate. Within 3 months The Tack Room opened and we began filling needs of children in our community. The Lord has blessed The Tack Room abundantly every step of the way.
I can’t thank the community enough for all the support they have given and all the donations that continue to be supplied in order to keep filling the children’s needs. It has been incredible to witness the giving spirit of our community.
It would be extremely remiss of me not to pay special thanks to my family and especially my husband, Jeff, for all the love and support to turn The Tack Room into a reality.
I don’t know too much about leading organizations, I haven’t done years and years of ministry, I continue to learn as I go, but I do know The One who has called me and it is my commitment to carry out His mission as long as he tells me to.
